Cheque Padding Registry entry

Specifies the total number of digits in a check number. The actual check number is padded with 0s up to the number of digits specified by this Registry entry.

This entry specifies how many digits are used when printing check numbers on checks used by the Vital Records Office for outgoing payments.

Note: Only one Cheque Padding entry should exist. An integer value must be specified.

where:

value

is the total number of digits in the check number. The actual check number is padded with 0s up to value.

This entry specifies that 8 digits are used for check numbers:

If the next available check number is 24, it will be printed as: 00000024.
